Dr. Laurie Heap
Laurie Heap graduated from KU Medical School in 2001. While in residency, in particular her OBGYN rotation, Laurie began defining a women’s health initiative to offer women more options for their healthcare. After completing her first year in residency, in July 2002, she resigned to dedicate her personal time to this initiative and care for her children. Over the last 12 years, Laurie has conducted extensive medical literature research and met with thousands of women in focus group settings. She also meets with women individually to help them sort through their specific health issues and empower them with the knowledge they need to find solutions that work. Dr. Heap speaks regularly to both small and large groups of women and couples. She is a freelance writer and her research has been published in mainstream consumer magazines such as Natural Solutions, and Health and Spirituality. Dr. Heap has been happily married for the last 13 years and has four beautiful children.
